ALMA, Mich.- Alma swept Kalamazoo today at home winning all three games (30-28, 30-26, 30-21). Alma improved to 7-9 on the season with a 4-4 mark in the MIAA.

Kaylee Sova (Freeland) led Alma with 20 kills while Kelsey Thompson (Morley/Morley-Stanwood) had a hitting percentage of .353. Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) had 37 assists while Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) added 30 digs for Alma.

ALMA, Mich.- Alma fell hard in the first game but went on to win the next three games of the match (20-30, 30-14, 30-28, 30-26). With this 3-1 win Alma improves to 8-9 overall and 5-4 in the MIAA.

Kim Gillhespy (Cedar Springs) played an outstanding match with 21 points, and showed her dominance at the net with an impressive 5 block solos, 4 block assists. Becky Brunning (Rogers City) led the team with 13 kills and 14 points. Kaylee Sova (Freeland) also played a great game 15 points and 31 digs.

Alma returns to action tomorrow when they travel to Indiana to take on St. Mary's College Oct. 8.
