ALBION, Mich. - The Alma College volleyball team (5-12, 5-1 MIAA) picked up its third win in as many tries Tuesday at Albion, 3-1.
The Scots took the first game quickly, 30-23 but lost ground in game two as the Britons secured a 30-27 win over the Scots. Alma rebounded to take games three and four 30-23 and 30-28, respectively.
Erin Fralick (Petoskey) led the Scots with 18 kills, hitting .533 for the match. She added two solo blocks and three block assists. Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) anchored the Scots with 59 assists and 14 digs. Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) had 33 digs to lead the team. Megan Gillis (Shepherd) posted 13 kills, five digs and two block assists while Erica Philp (Ubly) contributed with 16 kills and a block.
Alma returns to competition Friday (Sept. 30) at Hope College and enjoys a brief break over Alma's Homecoming weekend before returning to competition Oct. 5 at Olivet.
