ALMA, Mich. - The Alma College volleyball team opened post-season play with a 3-0 win against Saint Mary's College in Cappaert Gymnasium tonight.
Alma won swiftly, 30-25, 30-25, 30-23 to move to 15-17 on the season.
The Scots were led by Erin Fralick (Petoskey) and Kaylee Sova (Freeland) with 14 kills each. Erica Philp (Ubly) and Lyndsey Piesko (Frankenmuth) had nine and eight kills each, respectively.
Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) had 47 assists while Fralick added two solo blocks and two block assists on the night. Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) led the team with 21 digs while Sova added 12 digs.
The Scots continue MIAA Tournament action Friday at Hope College when the Maroon and Cream will face Calvin College at 5:30 p.m.
