ALMA, Mich. - The Alma College volleyball team improved to 9-14, 9-3 in MIAA action with a 3-0 win against St. Mary's today in Cappaert Gymnasium.

Alma won in three games, 30-15, 30-22, 30-15. Erin Fralick (Petoskey) led the team with 15 kills while Erica Philp (Ubly) added 10 kills. Betsy Bulthuis (Spring Lake) had nine kills with a hitting percentage of .692. Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) had 42 assists.

Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) had a team-best 14 digs while Murdoch added 12. Fralick bolstered the defense with four block assists.

The Scots return to action Oct. 19 when they host Albion.
