GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Alma College volleyball team dropped a confernce match to Calvin College tonight in Grand Rapids, 3-1, to fall to 8-14, 8-3 in MIAA play.

The Scots hopped out to an early lead with a 30-27 win in the first game. But the Knights would answer with three-straight wins (30-20, 30-24, 30-28) to take the match.

Erin Fralick (Petoskey) and Kaylee Sova (Freeland) led the Scots with 14 kills each while Erica Philp (Ubly) added 10. Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) had 29 digs to pace the Scots in the loss.

Lyndsey Piesko (Frankenmuth) had six block assists in the match to anchor the Scots' defense.

Alma returns to competition Saturday (Oct. 15) against Adrian at Noon.
