Sam Sibilski will enter his first season as Head Women's Soccer Coach in the Fall of 2025.
He was named as the 10th Head Women’s Soccer Coach in program history in December of 2024.
Sibilski comes to Alma from Great Lakes Christian College, where he served as both the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Director of Athletics. He was named the first full-time head coach in the history of the school, and initially led both the men’s and women’s programs, before handing off the men’s coaching duties and focusing solely on the women’s team.
Having started the women’s program from scratch, Sibilski has a track record of winning at GLCC. In 5 seasons with the women’s program, he built a record of 45-22-10. He coached the Crusaders to four 4 regional championships, and three national tournament finals, winning the National Championship in 2021. He has been named Regional Coach of the Year four times, NCCAA National Coach of the Year once, and was named to the United Soccer Coaches coaching staff of the year during the 2021 season. He has coaches 12 All-Americans, and two NCCAA Scholar Athletes during his time at Great Lakes.
Since coming to the United States, Sibilski has coached girls soccer at Manchester High School from 2015-2017, more recently coaching at St Johns High School. On the club side, Sibilski coached for Jackson Rush from 2013-2017, going on to serve as Director for Girls Soccer for Chill Soccer Club and Nationals Captial Area Club.
Sibilski was named ISL Conference and District Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2017 after leading the Manchester girls to Division 4 Elite 8 Regional Final, while winning the D4 District and ISL East Championship. In 2017 he led the Manchester Girls to another D4 Elite 8 Regional Final, D4 District and ISL Conference Championship. In the fall of 2018 he led the St John's Varsity Girls to their first ever CAAC Cup Silver Championship.
Sibilski currently holds USSF C License, NSCAA Goalkeeping 1 + 2, NSCAA Director of coaching Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma.
A native of England, Sibilski received his undergraduate education from Newark College, England in Sport and Recreation as well as Lincoln College, England in Plumbing and Heating systems.
He played for semi-pro clubs in England including Lincoln Moorlands and Lincoln United, competing in the English FA Cup while playing for United. Following his playing career Sibilski became a certified personal trainer.
Coach Sibilski resides in DeWitt with his wife Lia and two children, Ruby and Hudson.
