Brandon Staley completed his 2nd season as an Assistant Coach with Men's Basketball in 2023-24.

A Morgantown, West Virginia native, Staley was hired to the Men's Basketball staff in the summer of 2022.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to join Coach Fitzpatrick's staff and Alma College. I would not be in this situation if it were not for my former head coaches and players. I am looking forward to creating genuine relationships with our players and the Alma community as we build a winning program."

“We are incredibly excited to welcome coach Staley to Alma College and to our program. His winning experience at Washington and Jefferson College, his ability to recruit high level student athletes, and his ability to build relationships with our players, will help to take our program to new heights” said Head Coach Mike Fitzpatrick.

Prior to Alma College, Staley was the Assistant Coach at Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. During his tenure, the Men's Basketball team completed the winningest season in program history in the 2021-22 season (24-5), which led to their first conference title since 1994. Staley helped coach the team to a top ten statistical ranking in the nation for forced turnovers and 11th in the nation for scoring offense. Staley also helped lead Kyran Mitchell to third in the nation in triple doubles and seventh in the nation for steals per game. An additional player, JR Mazza was third in the country for totals three-pointers made, which also broke the school record. Staley's team collected the Conference Newcomer of the Year and multiple All-Conference members.

From 2014-19, Staley was the Assistant Coach at Trinity Christian School. While at Trinity, Staley was the Head Coach for the JV Basketball team. While assisting varsity, the team made two West Virginia State Tournament Final Four Appearances.

Staley also coaches AAU currently throughout the spring and summers.

Academically, Staley earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from West Virginia University in 2019.
