Nick Nemeth will enter his 4th academic year at Alma College in the Fall of 2025, and was named Assistant Athletics Director for Communication/Marketing and Sports Information on April 4, 2023.
Nemeth was named the Director of Athletic Communications and Marketing on July 1, 2022.
Nemeth oversees sports information operations for Alma's 30 athletic programs. He is the primary contact for Football, M/W Swimming, Women's Wrestling, Volleyball, STUNT, Women's Lacrosse, Softball, Spirit Squad, M/W Cross Country, M/W Tennis, Women's Bowling, Women's Basketball, and Men's Soccer.
In the Spring of 2025, he served as Co-Interim Women's Lacrosse Coach. He helped guide the team to four wins, a second team All-MIAA selection, and the program's first MIAA statistical champion since 2016.
Nemeth was the primary contact for Football as they won both the 2022, and 2023 MIAA Championships, covering the team's five postseason games. He has directly provided coverage of two Division III STUNT National Championships and one Bowling Club National Championships. He has also assisted with oversight of the department's coverage for five NDA Dance National Championships, four NCA Cheer National Championships, and one NDA Dance Grand National Championship.
In addition, Nemeth has covered milestone moments in his three years at Alma, Including Football's first back-to-back MIAA titles since 1968, Denny Griffin's 1,000th softball coaching victory, Michelle Sabourin's 100th STUNT coaching victory, and the only perfect national tournament run in STUNT history.
He has served on multiple hosting crews, helping to host four NCAA football playoff games, opening round MIAA playoff games in Men's Basketball and Baseball, the 2022 MIAA Cross Country Championships, and the 2025 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Nemeth joined the Alma staff having graduated Magna Cum Laude from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois in 2022, with a bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management, and a communications minor.
While at Millikin, he competed in the sport of swimming for three years, bringing home over 20 individual event wins, and scoring over 650 career points. He also worked for Campus Life for three years, and the Sports Information Department for four years. Nemeth handled play-by-play duties, and served as the Sports Director for WJMU.
A native of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Nick resides in Mt. Pleasant with his cat Brewer.
