Alma College

Dave Veres will enter the 2026 season in his 7th season as an assistant coach for the Alma College baseball team. 

Veres has worked as Head Coach and Board Member for the Grossi travel baseball program and various other travel programs prior to coming to Alma College. He has also served as a Volunteer Coach for the Fenton High School and Junior High baseball programs.

Graduating from Michigan State University in 1994, Veres started for four seasons: one at third baseman; one at second base and finished his final two seasons at shortstop. He was selected as Defensive Player of the year in 1993 and  ended his career as Captain of the 1994 squad. Veres finished his time as a Spartan earning First Team All-Big Ten honors as a shortstop as well as being selected to the All-Big Ten conference tournament team. At the completion of his time at MSU, Dave's career statistics were in the top 3 of most offensive categories.

Veres and his wife Erin have two sons: Kade (23) and Cam (20).
