ANGOLA, Ind. – The Alma College women's soccer program watched their nine-game unbeaten streak and its string of five straight wins end in Wednesday evening's MIAA Conference Opener with the Trine Thunder earning a 4-0 decision.
The Basics:
- Records
- Alma (8-1-1, 0-1 Michigan)
- Trine (4-3-3, 1-0 Michigan)
- Series History
- Scots Lead 26-7-2 (77.1%)
- Winning Streak
- Thunder (W6) / Scots' Last Win: April 15, 2021 (4-1)
How It Happened:
The Alma defense, that had been so impenetrable in non-conference play, finally fell victim to an off night, holding down the fort in the first half as they ceded a goal in the 25th minute to Kamryn Bowman before TU opened things up with a trio of scores on the back half.
The Thunder were precise in their shot selection as they were on-target in half of their 22 attempts with 11 on each end of the halftime break, but the Scots had more high leverage situations in the final 45 minutes during their comeback efforts, notching four corner kicks to the home XI's two.
Scots' Top Performers:
Emily Ahearn took AC's opening three shots of the contest, the first of which being on-goal while both
Brenna Rohloff as well as
Mckenzie Keck were accurate in their lone shot attempts.
Mya Pofahl stood tall against a season-most 22 attacks towards the net, getting her mitts on seven saves.

One more stop on this season-long six-match road swing is next with a Saturday showdown in Holland opposite Hope at noon.
