Explosive First Half Propels Men’s Soccer Past Alpena

 
ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College men's soccer program came out of the locker room on fire for the second straight day, scoring six unanswered after ceding the opening goal to cruise past Alpena Community College, 6-2.

Scots' Top Performers:
  • Anthony Mirolli led the shot barrage, leading the Scots with four on-target shots (five total) as he secured the equalizer on a dish from Ryker Anderson in the ninth minute.
  • Gabe Lara came off the bench and delivered not one, but two assists as a reserve, serving up the game-winning goal to Jack Lemerand on top of delivering a strike to Mason Breitschuh to cap the scoring for the home XI.
  • Lucas Ratell is officially 1-0 in his career as he tallied a complete game between the pipes, making two saves during his successful debut.
  • The terrific trio of Cayden Brummels, Dallyn Ellis, and Alexander Lopes combined to launch ten shots as each player secured one goal apiece.
  • Rounding out the notables on Wednesday afternoon was Fabinho Vasco plus Nhan Hoang as they both garnered a point via assists.
