Adrian, MI – Alma College Tennis was in action on Monday evening, taking on Adrian College in MIAA play. The Scots men were defeated 6-1, while the women fell 4-3.
 
Adrian 6, Alma 1
On the men's side, doubles play went to Adrian. The #1 pairing of Jake Lasceski and Ashton Trnka lost 6-4, and the #2 duo of Alex Jonas and John Laxton lost 6-0. Eli Festerling and Christian Beyers dropped a 7-5 decision at #3.
 
In singles play, Lasceski lost at #1 6-4, 6-2, and Trnka was defeated 6-4, 6-3 at #2. It was Beyers who scored Alma's lone win on the evening at #3, winning 3-6, 7-6, 12-10. Festerling lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-12 at #4, and Jacob McNew was felled 6-2, 6-1. Rounding things out, Daniel Hickey lost 6-3, 6-0 at #6.
 
Adrian 4, Alma 3
On the women's side, it was Alma who took the doubles team point. The #1 pairing of Holly Hall and Karly Kushner lost 6-0, with the #2 duo of Jada Zerlaut and Kayden Alli winning 6-1. At #3, Laney Voisinet and Salma Laraichi won 6-3.
 
In singles play, Kushner was defeated 6-1, 6-3 at #1. At #2, Zerlaut was taken down 6-0, 6-1, and Hall lost 6-4, 3-6, 3-6 at #3. Alli picked up a win at #4, 6-4, 6-2, and Troost fell 6-7, 6-4, 3-6 at #5. Rounding things out, Laraichi won 6-2, 7-5 at #6.
 
Alma's women move to 5-5, 0-2 in the MIAA, while the men drop to 1-9, 0-1 in MIAA play.
 
The Scots are back in action on Wednesday at Kalamazoo.
