Alma, MI – Alma College Men's Tennis was in action on Saturday, hosting Indiana University East in non-conference action. The Scots were defeated 6-1.
In doubles play, the pairing of
Jake Lasceski and
Ashton Trnka were defeated 6-4 at #1. At #2,
Eli Festerling and
John Laxton lost 6-4, and the #3 duo of
Logan Stack and
Christian Beyers fell 6-1.
In singles play, Lasceski lost at #1 by scores of 6-1, 6-3. Trnka was felled 6-2, 6-0 at #2. Festerling dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision at #3. Alma's lone win of the match, came at #4, where Beyers won 7-5, 6-4. The #5 matchup saw
Daniel Hickey go down by scores of 6-1, 6-1, and Stack dropped the #6 match, 6-3, 6-0.
The Scots drop to 1-8 with the loss, and are back in action on March 31 at Adrian to open MIAA play.
