ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College women's basketball program is projected to finish middle of the pack in a top-heavy MIAA but have an opportunity to punch above its weight class and surprise some people, buoyed by returning veteran leadership plus a grueling non-conference slate that will prepare the Scots for its league battles.

Molly Deurloo had the greatest free throw shooting performance in Alma's 51-year history as a team, making a program record 90.9% (50-of-55) of her attempts from the charity stripe and now enters her swan song campaign with the ninth-best career percentage as well at 78.7% (137-for-174).
Â
Sophomore guard
Kate Starkey is ready to make a huge leap in her second season after being one of two players to average double-digits (13.0) alongside Kaminske, leading the club in assists during her debut campaign with 73.
Â
Junior guard
Reese Wisniewski was the top defender for the Maroon and Teal last year at 25 steals despite solely coming off the bench while averaging just under 20 minutes per game.
Â
