UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Alma College track and field team traveled east back to Saginaw to compete at the Saginaw Valley State University Tune-Up on Friday, February 21st. The new faces continued to improve and find ways to leave their mark on the record boards.
Aiden Aldrich led the Scots with an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter run, running a time of 22.74, which was a personal-best and a new school record as he passed Devin Rice from 2023 who ran a 22.80. Aldrich also placed 16th in the 60-meter race with a time of 7.21, tying his personal best as well. Leland Edelyn was the only other Scots to crack the top ten as he finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.51, nearly eclipsing his personal best. Kaitelyn Walker was the Scots highest finisher on the women's side of action as she placed 12th in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 10.50.
Alma will now prepare for the MIAA Indoor Field Day, next Saturday, March 1st at Trine University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM.
