Alma, MI – Alma College Men's Soccer earned a decisive 4-1 victory over Great Lakes Christian College on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Scotland Yard.
The Scots struck early, with
Ethan Vollstedt scoring just one minute into the game off an assist from
Mateo Cianci. This goal is Vollestedt's third goal in four matches from the attacking midfield position. Alma maintained control throughout the first half, doubling their lead in the 24th minute when Cianci found the back top corner of the net. The Scots pulled some trickery with a well ran set piece routine that provided
Felipe Soto and
Tatenda Mukudu with assists on Cianci's goal. Cianci adds to his team lead in points, now totaling 9.
Christian Sweis scored in the 43rd minute, leaving the Scots with a 3-1 lead going into halftime.
