Adrian, MI – Alma College Men's Soccer faced #4 regionally ranked, Adrian College on Friday. The Scots fell 3-1, at Docking Stadium. Despite a solid effort and creating several opportunities, the Scots struggled to control bouncing 50/50 balls, resulting in them dropping the match to the Bulldogs.
The match started in the Scots favor. Strong defensive pressing tactics allowed Alma to find the back of the net first.
Fletcher Van Howe intercepted a pass from the Adrian goalkeeper about 35 yards out. Van Howe took a touch and lobbed a shot over all the Adrian defenders to scored his second goal of the season. Shortly after, Adrian would find the equalizer on a drop ball that was crossed into the box and ultimately found the net.

The Scots placed three of these shots on target with another shot narrowly going wide of the goal post. The Bulldogs' second goal came from a counterattack from a Scots corner kick in the 66th minute. Adrian would ultimately score the final goal with 36 seconds left, as the Scots have pushed all their players forward in effort to tie the match.

Grant Kaifas made 5 saves and had multiple key punches of the ball to protect the Alma net.
