Men’s Soccer Fights vs Calvin

The Alma College Men's Soccer Team took on the Knights of Calvin University in a MIAA Conference battle. 

The game plan was evident from the jump for the Scots as the first 25 minutes for Newby's men was a clinic on how to park the bus. Eventually the Knights would break through the Scots stellar early defense. 2 goals in the late first half would leave the Scots down 2 at half. 

The second half again was highlighted by Alma's spectacular defensive strategy. Despite Alma's counter attacking chances Calvin would net 2 more in the second half to defeat the Scots 4-0

Goalkeeper Leandro Vargas added 6 more saves to his season total on the afternoon.

The Scots will be back in action on Saturday October 14 as they hit the road to take on the Hornets of Kalamazoo University under the lights at 7:00 PM.
