Box Score Holland, MI – Alma Women's Basketball was on the road at Hope College on Saturday. Alma was defeated by the nationally ranked Flying Dutch 89-37.
Hope jumped out to a 19-9 advantage after one quarter of play. The defending national champs relied on their defensive prowess to hold Alma to another 9-point quarter in the 2nd, and led 43-18 at the half. Hope outscored the Scots 46-19 in the second half to take the win 89-37.
Olivia Warren was the only Scot to reach double digits in the loss, scoring 15 points. Senior Maddie Robbins also added 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Alma will look to bounce back against Saint Mary's on the road on Wednesday night.
