ADA, Ohio—The Alma College Men's Wrestling team competed at Ohio Northern University on Saturday, Feb. 12 for the Mid-State Championships. Alma finished in seventh place out of eight teams with a total score of 45.5.
"Mid-States is always a great event to get more matches for our freshmen and two of them had great days. Caleb Cline posted three wins and a 3rd place finish, while Cal Huggler posted three wins to get in the top four. The future is bright," Head Coach Todd Hibbs said.
Cline at 133 won by fall over Olivet to take third place (Fall:19) and added 15.5 team points. Huggler at 165 took fourth place and added 15.5 points for the Scots, as well.
Next, Alma heads to Central Regionals at Adrian College on Friday, Feb. 25.
