Box Score Albion, MI – Alma Women's Basketball continued their MIAA slate on Saturday against Albion on the road. The Scots were defeated 85-60.
Albion did most of their damage early on. The Britons were hot from the jump, finding open looks and knocking down shots to put Alma in a hole early. The Scots were stymied for most of the opening quarter, and found themselves down 30-13 after one. The quarter was punctuated by Izzy Alston hitting a three from the logo at the buzzer to give Alma some momentum into the second quarter. The middle quarters were competitive with the teams scoring basket for basket, but the Britons would pull away in the fourth to take the win 85-60.
Taylor Sas led the Scots with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Izzy Alston was right behind her with 14 points on 5-8 shooting from the field. Maddie Robbins pitched in 8 points as well. Kerri Miller totaled 7 rebounds off the bench, and Breckyn Werner grabbed 5 boards along with 4 points off the bench as well.
The Scots have a week to regroup before taking on Saint Mary's at home on Saturday.
