ADA, Ohio – The Alma College men's basketball team concluded their Ohio swing of the season with a matchup against the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern University. The Scots ended up falling to Ohio Northern by a final score of 75-53.

Alma found themselves down early to the Polar Bears but chipped away at the deficit. The Scots held the opponent scoreless for just under a four minute span in the middle of the half. Both teams then traded baskets with one another for a majority of the first half, limiting the Scots chances to narrow the deficit. Alma went into the half down 31-19.

Ohio Northern added to their lead at the start of the second half before Connor Riley scored seven consecutive points for the Scots helping close the gap. The Scots would get within 13 in the second half but would ultimately fall short in their final game of their recent Ohio road trips.

Riley led Alma in the game with 17 points while shooting 58.3% from the floor. Tyshaun Walker followed behind with 14 points of his own. Landen Moore-Pierce and Riley tied with a team-high six rebounds and Moore-Pierce added another team leading three assists. Alma caused the Polar Bears to turn the ball over 13 times throughout the contest and recorded 11 points on second chance opportunities.

The Scots will now return home for a midweek matchup against Grace Christian University, on Wednesday, November 30th. The matchup will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. in Art Smith Arena.
