OBERLIN, Ohio – The Alma College men's basketball team continued their slate of games in Ohio with a matchup against Oberlin College on Saturday, November 26th. Alma fell to the Yeomen by a final score of 76-61.

Alma started with game trading baskets with Oberlin until the Yeomen took a ten-point lead. The Scots locked up defensively and held Oberlin scoreless for two and a half minutes.  Alma then went on a 13-4 run to tie the game at 21's. Oberlin would stretch a lead out again and close the half with a 39-25 lead over Alma.

The Scots tightened the game coming out of the half by knocking down three 3-pointers, two coming from Connor Riley. Tyshaun Walker would drive the hoop and get a layup to fall to bring the score within five for Alma. Both teams then traded baskets again before Alma would be stopped on a couple possessions and trail 15 points with seven minutes remaining. The Scots would knock down several more baskets, but Oberlin would hold on and defeat the Scots.

Riley led the Scots with 20 points on 7-14 shooting, including four made three-pointers for the afternoon. Walker and Colton Meister both finished in double-digits with 13 and ten points, respectively. Peyton Bush collected eight rebounds to led Alma for the game. Alma recorded 14 offensive rebounds, three more than the Yeomen. Alma also caused Oberlin to turn the ball over 15 times and recorded seven steals in the game.

The Scots will finish their weekend trip with a game against Ohio Northern University on Sunday, November 27th. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
