Box Score Chicago, IL – Alma Women's Basketball was in action on day 2 of the North Park Tip Off Tournament. Alma fell to Beloit by a score of 71-54.
The Scots hung with Beloit in a high scoring first quarter, with Taylor Sas providing 15 of the 17 in the opening quarter. The middle quarters saw Alma playing score for score with their opponents, losing the 2nd quarter by 1, and winning the third quarter by 1. However, Beloit was able to pull away in the final frame to take the victory. Alma outrebounded Beloit 49-44, and converted their chances from the charity stripe at a higher percentage.
Taylor Sas led Alma with a total of 31 points on 10-18 shooting. She also snagged 4 rebounds and dished a pair of assists. Olivia Warren led the game in total rebounds with 11, while also tallying a steal and a trio of assists. Morgan Hanchett was the top player coming off the bench for the Scots with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and a block.
Alma will be back in action for a pair of games at the Nan Nicholas Classic at the College of Wooster on Saturday and Sunday.
