ALMA, Mich.—The Alma College Men's Wrestling team held its home opener and first conference matchup on Thursday, Jan. 6, against Trine University. The Scots fell to the Thunder, 24-22.

Alma started the day with five straight wins from the lower weight classes. Dominic Megdanoff at 125 grabbed five points for the Scots with a score of 16-0 by technical fall. "It's always disappointing to lose such a competitive conference match, but we were obviously pleased with the battles out there tonight. It's matches like this that help us to advance to our goals. For guys like Dom Megdanoff and Jayce Kuehnleiin to go out and perform like that for our team, those are great examples of being a Scot," said Head Coach Todd Hibbs.
