Returning from halftime, The Scots created a 16-3 run to regain the lead in the first eight minutes of the half. The next five minutes proved to be a battle as both teams would exchange one-possession leads with one another, but ultimately, the game went to overtime tied 63-63.

After an Alma timeout, the Scots would inbound the ball on their own baseline and drive up the floor for a layup by Brandon Whiteside to tie the game and push the game to a second overtime.

The Scots would stop the Comets defensively to create a one-possession game again, but it wouldn't be enough as Olivet would knock down their free throw late and ultimately end the game 96-88.
