ADRIAN, Mich. – The Alma College men's basketball team traveled down to southeast Michigan to take on MIAA foe Adrian College in a conference matchup. The Scots ended up falling to the Bulldogs by a final score of 108-80. 

The Scots and Bulldogs struggled on offense early with both teams taking some time to capitalize on their first baskets. Once the scoring was opened up, both teams fought hard to increase their leads, but both teams kept the game tight. The Bulldogs proceeded to pull away and extend their lead in the final minutes of the first half, but not without a last-minute surge from the Scots to finish the half down five, 49-44.  

The beginning of the second half picked up right where the first half left off. Adrian would then find a spark behind the arc to open the lead to 10 points with 17 minutes remaining in the half. Alma would fight back and chip away Adrian's lead to six but it was ultimately not enough.

The Scots' points leader was Brandon Rake, who scored 24 and collected a team-high eight rebounds. Following behind was Nate Deyman with 12 points. Landen Moore-Pierce led Alma with four assists and Isaiah Williamson added two steals. The team shot a collective 50 percent from the floor and behind the arc in the contest.  

The team will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 15, when they take on Olivet College in Art Smith Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
