Box Score ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College men's basketball team loss, 101-83, to the Hope College Flying Dutchmen at Art Smith Arena on Wednesday. Alma drops to 2-9 overall and 0-3 in conference while Hope moves to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the MIAA. This game was the first time Alma College hosted spectators at a home contest for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Scots and Flying Dutchmen were in the early minutes of the game until Hope pushed the lead to double digits late in the first half. Alma attempted to pull within in the second half, however Hope kept answering on the offensive end and took the victory.
Cole Kleiver led the Scots with 22 points while nailing four 3-point attempts. Isaiah Williamson was Alma's next highest scorer with 17 on 8-of-13 shooting. Williamson also gathered seven rebounds on the night.
Brandon Rake tallied a team-high eight rebounds while scoring 11 points. Alex King led Alma with four assists. Senior Matt Lark made his season debut and posted nine points on 4-of-4 shooting.
Alma heads back on the road to face Kalamazoo College on Saturday, February 20th at 2 p.m.
