ALMA, Mich.  – The Alma College wrestling team hosted the MIAA Team Dual Championships on Saturday at Art Smith Arena. The Scots finished third out of four teams with a 1-2 record. Olivet College went undefeated on the day to earn the title as Conference Champions.

In its first dual against Olivet, Alma loss, 35-9. Austin Wieczorek and Alexander Henry earned wins for the Scots. 

In the second dual, the Scots took down Trine University, 25-24. Wieczorek came out on top again in his weight class while Chase Beecher, Jayce Kuehnlein, Joe Vondrasek, Erik Arnegard, and Dillion Stevenson were all winners for Alma.

In the final dual of the day, Alma fell 26-18 to Adrian College. Wieczorek finished his day 3-0 with another win in the 133 lb weight class. Beecher also picked up win. Mason Priest and Owen Atienza were also victorious in the dual for the Scots.

Currently up next on the schedule for Alma is the NWCA Division III Coaches Association National Championships on March 6 and 7.
