Saginaw, Mich. - The Alma College track and field team completed its first day at the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational on Friday (Jan. 24). Senior Jacob Wildenhaus (Jackson, Mich / Lumen Christi) had a strong top ten finish in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing seventh out of 19 other competitors with a time of 8.77.

Senior Jack Montgomery (Mikado, Mich / Oscoda Area) finished 17th in the 5000 M run with a time of 16:03.53, and was closely followed by senior Luke Reed (Benzonia, Mich / Benzie Central) in 20th and junior Karl Stroup (White Lake, Mich. / Lakeland) in 23rd.  

Junior Charley Hengesbach (Saginaw, Mich. / Nouvel Catholic Central) finished 26th in the weight throw with a personal best of 13.09. 

The SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational will continue on Saturday (Jan. 25) at 11 a.m.
