Women's Golf Competes in Third MIAA Jamboree

Angola, Ind. - The Alma College women's golf team finished eighth at the third MIAA Jamboree of the season on Wednesday (Oct. 2) at the Zollner Golf Course hosted by Trine University. The Scots finished with an overall team score of 356. Saint Mary's won the event with a 312 and remained atop the conference standings, while the Scots are sitting in seventh place with one jamboree remaining before the MIAA Fall Final.

Leading the way for the Scots was junior Grace Grelak (Canton, Mich./Salem) who shot an 86 and tied for 21st place individually. Behind her was freshman Morgan Yates (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd) with an 88. That put Yates in a tie for 25th place. Next for the Scots was sophomore Ava Gardiner (Sterling Heights, Mich./Stevenson), with a score of 90 and finishing in a tie for 32nd. Behind her was senior Jennifer Kowalczyk (Northville, Mich/Northville) with a score of 92 and finishing in 42nd place. Finishing the day for the Scots was junior Kirstyn Cotton (Midland, Mich./Midland), shooting a 93 and finishing tied for 43rd.

The Scots will be back in action on Thursday (Oct. 3) for the fourth and final MIAA Jamboree of the season from the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Mich. Tee-off is set for 1:00 pm.
