KANSASVILLE, Wisc. – The Alma College golf program saw the women register 27th via a score of +147 whereas the men came in 31st courtesy of a +45 showing at the Midwest Region Classic on Friday and into Saturday.
 
Andrew Skellenger had a huge second round for the Scots' men's team, moving up 22 spots by cutting three strokes off his score as he was the top finisher at 68th (+7) with five birdies. Brady Pettenger was the other male student-athlete to improve on day two, knocking four strokes off his game to rise 12 spots for a +14 outing (151st) amid three birdies. The second-best standing overall came from the club of Carter McCave at +11 and 115th place (four birdies). Other competitors for Alma's men were Jaden Ducharme (+16 / 172nd), Adam Gerber (+20 / 197th), and William Lightle (+25 / 218th).
 
On the women's side of the coin, Leea Gorman topped the scorecard in 101st and a +35, hitting for par 14 times. Damien Gagnon was the biggest riser on Saturday, jumping 16 spots to a +50 (150th) as she birdied the second hole of the tournament for her best result. Right behind Gorman came Sofia Russell's +36 and 107th place followed by Jocelyn Rolston's +40 / 123rd allotment. Capping the golfers for Coach Cleveland was Kinley Kiefer (+43 / 137th) as well as Addison Schaefer (+48 / 142nd).

The men's squad is back on the links rather quickly, competing in their first MIAA Jamboree of the season on Tuesday in Angola, Indiana while the women's squad has the week off before taking part in their third MIAA Jamboree on Tuesday, October 6, also in Angola.
