Women's Golf Places Fourth, Gains Ground on MIAA Leaders

Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Alma College women's golf team finished in fourth place, one stroke behind Calvin and two behind Hope, in the fourth MIAA Jamboree on Saturday (Sept. 29). Seniors Tori Basso (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lake Orion) and Kennedy Hilley (Lake Odessa, Mich. / Lakewood) each finished with a 79, finishing tied for third behind two Saint Mary's golfers. It was Hilley's lowest score in a conference tournament this year.

The Scots are fifth in the conference after four tournaments, picking up six strokes on at the Milham Park Golf Club. Alma is two strokes behind Albion and six behind Calvin with two tournaments left in the Fall season.

Sophomore Kirstyn Cotton (Midland, Mich. / Midland) posted a 90, while Ava Gardiner (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Adlai E. Stevenson) and Hannah Joslin (Linden, Mich. / Linden) came in with a 95 and 97.
