Olivet, Mich. - The Alma College women's basketball team picked up its second straight win with a 65-45 victory at Olivet on Saturday (Feb. 4) afternoon.

Tara Padgett (Freeland, Mich./Freeland) led Alma (7-14, 5-7 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) with 14 points and made four of five three-pointers, tying her season-high. Skylr Goodman (Standish, Mich./Standish Sterling Central) came up two rebounds shy of her second straight double-double with 12 points and eight boards and added a career-high three steals. Kelsey Wolffis (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores) also nearly notched her first career double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds to go along with four steals.

After holding a 15-7 lead through one quarter, The Scots closed the half on a 10-4 run to take a 34-17 at the break.

Padgett's fourth and final three-pointer came in the closing minutes of the third quarter. It capped an 8-2 for Alma as it took a 47-28 lead into the final frame. It also gave her 106 in her career and moved her in to seventh place on the all-time list, past former teammate Mallory Pruett and Ashley Borcherding.

Wolffis' lone block came in the middle of the fourth quarter and gave her the single-season record in blocks with 60. She surpassed her freshman year total of 59.

The Scots held Olivet (1-19, 1-11 MIAA) to 38.6-percent shooting and forced 25 turnovers on the day. Its biggest lead of the game was 24.

Alma's next game is against Saint Mary's at Art Smith Arena on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m.
