Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's basketball team suffered another defeat from the Albion College Britons in their second match up with each other this season. In the 73-59 defeat Alma had three separate Scots score in the double digits.

Junior Tara Padgett (Freeland, Mich./Freeland) came off the bench with a team high 14 points. Senior Kassidi Adams (Montrose, Mich./Montrose) and senior Raeanna Zink (Frankenmuth, Mich./Frankenmuth) had 12 and 10 respectively. 

Albion came out of the gates on fire shooting 60 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from behind the arc putting the Scots in a 41-26 deficit going in to the halftime intermission. Adams scored all 10 of her points in the first quarter to keep the Scots in range.

Alma fought back when they came out of the half out scoring the Britons 18-15 in the third quarter. Unfortunately it was not enough for Alma and they were brought down by Albion, 73-59.

After the loss Alma fell to 7-13 in the 2015-16 campaign and 2-10 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Albion improved to 9-12 overall and 5-7 in the league.

Alma will have another home game on Wednesday (Feb. 10) in Art Smtih Arena where they will host Kalamazoo College. The tip-off time is slated for 6:00 p.m. with a men's varsity game to follow.

GAME NOTES:

• Freshman Kelsey Wolffis has recorded a block in every single game this year except two.
• Alma shot season high best 77.8 percent from the free throw line.
• Three Scots are currently in the top 10 in the MIAA in three point percentage.
• Kaitlyn Kendall is third in the league in three point percentage at an even 40 percent.
• The Scots must win on Wednesday (Feb. 10) in order to keep their home winning record.
