The Alma College Wrestling team hit the road on Saturday, traveling to Ohio to take part in the 34th Annual Ohio Northern Invitational. The Scots took second place at the 15-team event with a score of 143.0, finishing just five points behind champion Olivet College.
"This was really a great invitational for us, said Alma Head Coach Todd Hibbs. We battled with Olivet all day, back and forth, and at the end of the day they won one more match than we did. Just one more win and that title would have been ours, but either way it was great to go head-to-head with such a talented program."
The Scots had 10 wrestlers place in their weight classes on Saturday: including second place finishes by Sr. Tyler Foley (New Hudson/South Lyon East) at 125, Sr. Zac Case (Battle Creek/Pennfield) at 133 and #6 Jr. Jamie Jakes (Dearborn/Divine Child) at 174.
