Alma Women's Golf in sixth place after day one of MIAA championships

The Alma College women's golf team is taking part in the the MIAA women's golf season-ending weekend Jamboree at Bedford Valley Country Club near Battle Creek. After day one on Friday, the Scots are in sixth overall place with a team score of 364, 76 strokes behind the leading Olivet Comets.

Saturday's round set to tee off at 10 a.m.

Olivet enters the weekend with a 52-stroke lead over Saint Mary's in the league standings. The Comets have won all four MIAA Jamborees this season, by margins ranging from nine to 16 strokes.

Olivet is seeking its third consecutive MIAA championship. The top four teams in the final season standings will advance to play in the 54-hole spring qualifier that will determine the conference's representative to next May's NCAA Division III national championships.
