Alma's Women's Basketball team traveled to Trine on Thursday for a MIAA league game against the Thunder and dropped a 60-53 decision. The loss gave the Scots an overall record of 1-19 on the season and 0-11 in the league, while Trine is now 5-7 in the MIAA and 7-13 overall.
The game was close throughout and very much in doubt right up until the last few minutes, as the home team Thunder found a way to dig down and come up with the victory.
"We have to learn how to win games," said Alma Head Coach Keisha Brown. "The last three minutes of the game we forcing things and stopped attacking like we had been earlier, and it hurt us. We have five games left and it will really be gut check time for our team."
The Scots host Albion College on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. as part of the school's annual Pink Day for Breast Cancer Awareness. The Men's team will take on Hope College at approximately 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. All proceeds from the day's activities will go the Angel Wings Foundation.
