The host Grizzlies, who defeated Alma by a margin of 69-52, improved their record to 11-0 on the season. The Scots fell to 3-9 and will now focus on MIAA action, as they host Albion College on Wednesday evening.
"We saw another good team today and the kids played hard and well," said Alma Head Coach Keisha Brown. "We have had a tough non-conference schedule and we have had some success and have gotten better each game. I feel good about where we are going into the rest of our conference schedule."
The Scots played better out of the gate on Friday and led 4-2 after Jr. G Danielle Hicks (Marshall, Mich./Marshall) was good on a jumper. The score was 8-8 seven minutes into the game, but the Grizzlies went on an 11-2 run to take a 19-10 lead at the 8:32 mark.
