The Alma College Wrestling team competed on Saturday afternoon at Tiffin University (Ohio) and split two matches. In the first one, the Scots defeated Mott Community College 48-4, while Alma dropped the second match by a score of 30-12 to host Tiffin University.
A few wrestlers were noted by Alma Head Coach Todd Hibbs as the Scots had an up an down afternoon in Ohio. Fr. Casimer Strzynski (Ludington, Mich./Ludington), Fr. Paul Mikhjian (Rochester Hills, Mich./Adams) and Fr. Zach Case (Battle Creek, Mich./Pennfield) had days that the coach felt were worthy of being highlighted.
"We had some real nice efforts by Casimer Strzynski and Paul Mikhjian this afternoon," said Hibbs. "[Strzynski] is returning from a month being injured and looked great in scoring a lot of points and getting a fall, and Paul wrestled the best he has all season as he was constantly attacking."
Alma will next compete in the Desert Duals on Sunday, December 18 in Las Vegas.
