WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Scots Fall to Albion in Conference Tournament, 67-52

The Alma College Women's Basketball Team proved to be a tough out for the Britons of Albion College as they were within five at halftime and continued to battle for fourty minutes before falling in the end to the second best team in the MIAA.

As was the case all season, the Scots showed glimpses of greatness at times, and showed it tonight by battling the highly talented Albion squad to a 25-30 halftime score. However, the Britons came out in the second half and showed the consistancy it takes to to put together a season like they did and extended their lead to 15 points behind the 37 they put up in the second half.

Senior Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel C.C.) led the Maroon and Cream in scoring in her final game priding her school colors, putting up 18 points on 8 of 19 from the field while grabbing five rebounds. Guards Heather Keenan (Charlotte) and Danielle Large (Diamondale/Eaton Rapids) scored 11 and 10 respectively and senior Ashley Wojtas (Kent City) gave the Scots 14 minutes of effort and heart in her final game.
