The Alma College Women's Basketball Team (9-13, 6-9) took to the road to face the Olivet College Comets (9-14, 7-8) in a big game for conference positioning heading into the MIAA Tournament and came up short, falling by the score of 69-59.

For the second consecutive game, Alma's outstanding senior, Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel C.C.) was held to less than 10 field goal attempts and the result was a Scots' team that struggled to score points. Sophomore standout Meagan Hoblett (Cadillac) did what she could for the cause, scoring 21 points and grabbing seven boards in 35 minutes of play. Heather Keenan (Charlotte) and Stephanie Bradshaw (Livonia/Churchill) each chipped in nine points in the game.

The Scots will host #1 ranked Hope College this Saturday for their season finale and senior day. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
