Alma, Mi.- The Scots (3-8, 1-4) made the long trip to Tri-State University (4-10, 1-5) for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off against the Thunder and poor shooting led to a 48-61 loss.
The Scots have struggled all season to find consistency shooting the ball and that trend continued today as they shot 36% from the field and a dismal 20% from behind the three point arch.
Most of the damage done by Alma's offense today came from Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel C.C.) and Meagan Hoblet (Cadillac) 16 and 13 points respectively and combined to grab 16 boards in the game. Heather Keenan (Charlotte) also put together a solid game for the Scots, scoring ten points and pulling down three boards in the defeat.
The Scots hit the hardwood again this Wednesday as they will take on the Brits on Albion College for conference matchup with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
