ALMA, Mich. - Alma College fell to 10-12 on the season and 6-9 in MIAA action with a 63-48 loss at Hope College Wednesday evening.
Alma was led by freshman Megan Hoblet (Cadillac) who notched her third double-double of the season and her third in four games with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Courtney Lusk (Michigan Center) added 10 points. Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel Catholic) was held to just four points in 23 minutes while Heather Keenan (Charlotte) added eight in 26 minutes, dishing out one assist and giving up six turnovers.
Alma mustered just 18 points in the first half, entering halftime down 33-18. While the Scots matched the Flying Dutch in the second half, the 15-point first-half deficit was too much to overcome.
The Scots return home to Cappaert Gymnasium to end the season against Calvin College Saturday at 3 p.m.
