The Alma College Women's Basketball Team (3-5, 1-1) came into today's game against Calvin (6-2, 3-0) on a three game winning streak but behind a dismal shooting performance that saw the Scots only score 18 points in the first half and shoot 25% from the field in the game, Calvin took the conference win by the score of 73-41.
One of the few bright spots in the game was the play of sophomore forward Meagan Hoblet (Cadillac) who led the Scots with 17 points and seven rebounds. Senior Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel Catholic Central) added eight points on three of seven shooting and six rebounds in the losing effort.
The Scots now face a long layoff before hosting the Belles of Saint Mary's at Alma College on January 5th for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
