Alma College opened the 2006 season with an 18th place finish at the Ferris State Bulldog Women's Golf Invitational Sept. 2 and 3 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids.

The Scots turned in a team score of 742 (364-378) in the 20-team tournament that was won by the host team Ferris State with a score of 615 (305-310).

Oxford sophomore Beth Hubbard led the Scots with a 36-hole score of 177 (89-88). Also scoring were Kailey Ruggerillo 181 (91-90), Kristina Schwab 188 (89-99), Mary Kate Lesko 202 (95-107) and Megan Stevenson 203 (102-101).
