GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's basketball team fell to 12-11 (7-9 MIAA) with a 64-56 loss to Calvin Saturday.

Sophomore Erica Philp (Ubly) led the Scots with 16 points while sister Darcie led in rebounds with eight boards.

Calvin led by six at the half and as many as 16 with just under 16 minutes remaining before Alma mustered 34 second half points, not enough to overcome the Knights.

Darcie Philp also added 13 points as did Katey Peacock (Gowen/Greenville).

Alma returns to action in the MIAA Tournament later this week.
