BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Alma College women's golf team made its 2005 season debut Saturday at the Ferris State Invitational in Big Rapids, Mich., at the University's Katke Golf Course.

Senior Abbey French (Brighton) paced the Scots with an 87, as Alma sits in 16th place after the first day of competition. French is tied for 49th while teammates Erica Lynch shot 93 and Kristina Schwab (Saginaw/Saginaw Heritage) carded a 94.

The Scots continue play at the FSU Invite tomorrow (Sept. 4) to wrap up the two-day invitational.
