Hot-Shooting Scots Too Much For Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. – Alma women's basketball improved to 9-9 overall and 4-8 in MIAA play with a 71-68 victory against Olivet Saturday afternoon (Feb. 5). Led by Ashley Borcherding's (Millington) 20-point performance, the Scots have now put up back-to-back victories for the first time since December 18 and 30, 2004 when the Scots defeated Mount St. Joseph and the University of Windsor, respectively.

Katey Peacock (Gowen/Greenville) helped with 13 points and five boards while Rondi Lounds (St. Johns) added 10 points in the win. Darcie Philp (Ubly) rounded out the top scorers for the Scots with nine points and six rebounds.

Alma returns to action Wednesday (Feb. 9) when it hosts Hope College at 7:30 p.m.
