Josh Bouchard will enter his 3rd season as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in the fall of 2026.
In 2025-26, Alma posted an 11-15 record, going 7-9 in MIAA conference action. The Scots finished 5th in the conference, qualifying for the MIAA tournament, bowing out in the opening round at four-seed Calvin. Alma's signature win on the season came against Otterbein University, an NCAA Second Round qualifier in 2025-26. The Scots beat the Cardinals 54-46, holding the OAC tournament champions to their second lowest point total of the season. Alma also beat Calvin, who was receiving national polling votes at the time, for the first time since 2021. Cadence Kaminske was named second team All-MIAA after serving as one of the nation's top three-point shooters.
The Scots' 2024-25 squad posted a 10-16 record, with a 7-9 mark in MIAA play. Brooke LeRoux was named Second Team All-MIAA for the second year running, and the program saw a handful of individual performances make their way into the record book. This included both LeRoux and Cadence Kaminske tying the single game three point record with eight makes apiece, and LeRoux scoring a top ten all-time 32 points in one game against Saint Mary's. The Scots also scored a season highlight 15-point victory over rival Albion College. The margin of victory is the largest that Alma has had over the Britons since the 2008 season.
Bouchard joined the Scots coaching staff from University of West Florida, a Division II institution, where he served on staff for 2 seasons.
Prior to his time at UWF, he spent 1 season at his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State University. Josh also coached at Michigan Mystics and Powers Catholic High School before his return to the Cardinals.
Bouchard was a student assistant during his 4 years at SVSU, where he graduated in 2020.
